Baking Up A Snow Storm

Today I woke up at 9:40am, it was sunny and the grass was very nice and green and the temperature was pretty moderate, however by 11:00am I had to suffer through this for the rest of the day :(

So instead of my normal plans for lunch with a friend and grocery shopping I decided instead to dedicate my day to some homemade baking and cooking that im going to freeze for my boyfriend to have some homemade food in his residence which is laking in the kitchen area.
By 5:00pm I had successfully made up 6 different things (if you include the ham i was cooking for dinner) I took some pics to show how delicious everything ended up and some links (click on the titles) incase you feel like a cooking day as well! ENJOY. YUMMMMMM

I discovered these tasty little guys a year ago on the PIONEER WOMAN website. She is the funniest lady when she blogs, I laugh whenever cooking her recipes. She types exactly as she talks & her recipes are awesome! For these I grate the onion instead of chopping, since im not a huge onion fan but they really make the biscuit taste a thousand times better. My boyfriend loves these cause he says they keep him full for hoursss after he eat them.

I just found this website this week, one of the girls at work showed it to me called SKINNY TASTE, now i wouldnt say that any of the recipes are in any way "skinny" but they do sound very delicious and this was the first one i tried. I would suggest a litttttttle less flour and alot more peanut butter on the inside :) who the hell cares about low fat!

proof that i really did bake and its not just pictures of food!

#3 - TWICE BAKED POTATOE

First time making these, but once again from Pioneer Woman, they are definitely a friday night food and making sure you bake them without tin foil wrapped around them so the skins get hard enough to hold the filling, that was my only downfall.

#4 - EGGY MCMUFFINS!

Nothing to extravagent here just eggy sammichs, but homemade so alot better than mcdonalds 28grams of fat, probably they average about 10grams of fat, andddd if i had just gone with egg white instead of white the yoke is would only be about 4grams of fat, but! they arent for me today so oh well!

Assembly line!

Homemade soup was a new adventure for me, and i would say it turned out okay, if i were to do it again I would definitly add moreeeeee broccoli, i did 4 heads like it called for but its just wasnt ENOUGH broccoli taste, and some more seasoning, I just dont know what. Also top with extra cheese before you serve :)

  1. Those egg mcmuffins look delicious. Just like the actual ones you get from McDonalds but way healthier.
